Your questions answered…

Ticketing:

When will I get the property addresses?

All ticket holders will be sent the property addresses and other important information on Friday 15th March. The email will be sent via Eventbrite to the email address used to purchase the ticket.

When will tickets go on sale?

Tickets will be available from Thursday 8th February at 8am until sold out. There are a very limited number of tickets again for 2024.

I only want to see a few of the houses, what ticket should I buy?

Single-entry tickets will only be available on the day if the event is not sold out. We strongly advise purchasing an event ticket prior to the day to avoid disappointment.

How do I get my tickets?

Your event ticket(s) will be emailed to you separately when you purchase a ticket online. Each ticket has a unique number and a bar code, which will be exchanged for a wristband on the day.

Will tickets be available on the day of the event?

The event has sold out prior to the day every year for almost a decade, if that does not occur this year we may have tickets available on the day. This website is the best place to check availability.

What is included in my ticket?

Tickets include entry to all properties, afternoon tea, event booklet, shuttle buses and a gift bag.

Afternoon Tea:

Is afternoon tea served at a specific time?

You can enjoy afternoon tea in the school’s Multi-Purpose Room at any time between 11.30 to 4.30. Before, during or after viewing the houses!

Do you serve Gluten Free and Vegetarian afternoon tea options?

Yes! Guests requiring gluten free or vegetarian afternoon tea are invited to specify this when purchasing tickets. Please ask one of our friendly volunteers at the school on the day.

Transport:

Where do I catch the shuttle buses? Do I have to start at St Joseph’s?

You can catch a shuttle bus from the school or from one of the properties. Our fleet of buses runs all day in a loop, stopping in at each property and at the school. You can stay on the bus to come back to the school for afternoon tea at any time.

Do I have to catch the shuttle buses or can I drive myself?

You are welcome to drive yourself to the properties, however, we cannot guarantee parking close to homes. It is usually much more enjoyable to use our buses!

Gift Bags:

Where do I collect my gift bag?

Gift bags are available for collection at the school, they are not available at the properties.

When do I collect my gift bag?

We recommend you collect your gift bag from the school at the end of the day, or at the start of the day and leave it in your car. You may find it inconvenient to take them on the shuttle buses and you will be asked to leave them at the front of each property, if you do, please avoid leaving any valuables in them.

Footwear and personal belongings:

Will I need to remove my shoes?

You may be asked to remove your shoes and socks before entering some of the properties, particularly if it is wet. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes that are easy to slip on and off and that you bring a bag to put your shoes in to carry around the house.

What should I bring?

Please limit what you bring with you. We recommend a small bag with essentials for the day.
For the safety of the houses and the comfort of other guests you will be asked to leave large bags and umbrellas at the front door.

General:

Can children attend?

We are unable to admit children under 13 with the exception of young babies in a carrier facing inward towards the person holding them.

What happens in poor weather?

The event will be held regardless of the weather. If it is wet, you will be asked to remove shoes and leave umbrellas outside as instructed by our volunteers at each property.

How do I find out more information about each property or a specific feature or item within a property?

Please contact us directly after the event with your questions. We are happy to pass on your questions to the property owners.
